Our group piano class is the perfect way to get your aspiring musician started with piano! At Rock U, we utilize The Piano Express for our group piano classes. Piano Express is an innovative new curriculum that utilizes cutting edge technology that allows for a seamless transition from lessons at Rock U to practicing at home, all in an app that feels like students are playing a game.
The Piano Express curriculum is also set up in a way that students can start taking lessons at any point, so there isn’t any need to wait until a new “semester” to start up lessons! Group classes have 1 teacher per 5 students. The first 30 minutes of the class is individual lesson time with students plugged into their pianos and Piano Express, and 30 minutes of group time where we review the concepts that were learned during the lesson. We also supplement the Piano Express curriculum with our own Rock U music so students can learn popular songs along with concepts covered!
Students are provided books to work from (covered by your enrollment fee and provided at your first lesson), and then are provided access to the Piano Express software that you can use at home on a laptop or tablet. Subsequent books are purchased by students through Piano Express.
